How to Improve Your English Skill in Digital Era

As you know, times are evolving quickly, so we need to improve our skill to keep up the era. Now we already in digital era. Digital era means that human and technology are coexist. As a human being we can’t be outdone by technology. However, technology is getting more and more advances. The one example of technology advancement is Artificial Intelligence or we know it as AI. We can finish our work or task easily with it. Perhaps you think that humans are not longer needed because of the existence of AI. But is it true? Of course NOT!

Let’s answer some of my question first, who is the develops of technology? Who makes the technology exist? who is in charge of fixing any errors or bugs in a technology? We knew it as well, the answer of all of the questions are human, or person. So, we can conclude that even if technologies are advancing, but it still can’t surpass humans. Now the problem is, how do we deal with technological advances? First, you need to examine what kind of skill that important in digital era, then you start to learn and improving it.

One of the important skill in digital era is English skill. Why? Because the time and space couldn’t influence the era. We can communicate to other people in other country. Our international language is English, so we need to improve English skill to make thigs easier.

Here I give you some advice:

1. From English learning video. In my opinion, learning English videos are useful because it will help you to imagine and understand the topic. 
2. Using the internet to learn English. This is the other way to learn English if you haven’t partner. You can search for something you didn’t know.
3. Learning English with digital story telling. For the students who likes literature, it is a wonderful way. This method can entertain person too.
4.  Online translation tools. I need to take a note that you have to be careful when use it. Because not all of translation tools are valid. You need to check again and again, is the structure are correct?
5. Learning English with social media. Sometimes there are an advertisement or brochure about course. You can join webinar, boot camp, and other training through your smartphone.
