Tourism Place Review: Jambooland Waterpark

Do you have plan to go to Tulungagung? Tulungagung is a small residence in East Java. Tulungagung has many hidden tourism places. If you didn’t make any plan, you will be flustered. However, the information related to the tourism place in Tulungagung are less expossed. But don’t worry, in this occasion, I will give you some information about one of the tourism places in Tulungagung.

Jambooland Waterpark is the biggest waterpark in Tulungagung. Located in the Jamboo Kingdom, a hotel addresses at Jl. Raya Srabah, No. 1, Srabah, Karanganom, Tulungagung. You can search on the map; the location is easy to find. Sadly, I didn’t take a picture on the outside. But I already take the picture of the building. Many local people called Jambooland Waterpark as Srabah. Jambooland Waterpark open on 8a.m and closed on 5p.m, this place is originally a small swimming pool in Srabah. But it getting bigger and bigger until now it became the biggest Waterpark in Tulungagung. Last period, during COVID-19, Jambooland Waterpark is closed. It only can be accessed by the hotel guests. However, it has reopened now.

When we arrived on the Jamboo Kingdom, for those who want to visit Jambooland Waterpark and didn’t stay at the hotel, they should park their vehicle in the particularly parking lot, across of Jamboo Kingdom. We will be charged of parking fee for motorcycle of Rp3.000. I went there in the afternoon and back from there on evening. The sunset was so appealing.

If you see many tires are arranged near the parking lot, it is a special area for ATV Ride. We have to pay around Rp25.000/person to enjoy the ATV Ride. Besides that, there is a deer cage near the parking lot. There are many deer in the cage.

In order to make a reservation, you have to go to the lobby. The customer service will serve you and explain the rules of Jambooland Waterpark. One of the rules is you have to wear swimsuit. I suggest you bring your own swimsuit. They didn’t allow us to wear T-shirt when swimming. They also provide swimsuits for sell, the price is Rp200.000 and Rp250.000, the price of waterpark ticket is Rp60.000/person because we got 40% off. The originally price is Rp100.000/person on weekend and Rp60.000/person on weekday.

After you got a ticket, you can enter the waterpark. This waterpark is spacious with no map. You can go straight ask to the security if you have a trouble, the securities are humble and kind. Once you entering the waterpark, you will find water fontains.

From this water fontains, if you want to go to the locker room, you have to turn right. But if you want to find a good spot to take a picture you can go straight and you will over the bridge. It is the one of the good photo spots on this waterpark.

If you go to the locker room, you will find a deer cage again across the locker room. We are free to feeding them! Also, there is a garden near the locker room, you can rest here for a while. However, the roller coaster isn't works.  If you take some step from there, you will find pirate spot.

Okay, back to the locker room! If you want to keep your stuff, you need to rent a locker. There are 2 types of lockers, first is a small locker, the fee is Rp10.000 and the second is a big locker with fee Rp20.000, again, you have to leave Rp50.000 as collateral and it will be returned later. Once everything is done, it is time for you to enjoy your swimming journey.

There are 4 types of swimming pools in Jambooland:

  • Tsunami Pool, the Tsunami Pool opens just 30 minutes. In weekday from 9a.m-9. 30a.m, and in weekend start from 3.30p.m-4p.m, you will feel the sensation like you are in a beach. Don’t forget to borrow life vest, because you’ll be swayed by the artificial waves there. Be careful because the edge of this pool is rough, it will make our skin can easily hurt if it is rubbed there.     Amazon River, a swimming pool that shaped like a river, it is quite large and long, but the water flow is not too fast. You can enjoy on your floaties and see the scenery (mostly hotel building)

  • Jamboo Water House, this is the main swimming pool. It isn’t too deep. There are 3 kinds of swimming pool; for children, and teenagers or adult, located in the one place. The swimming pool are across from each other. And the last one is for all age, the located is across the Tsunami Pool. There are many sliding. I've tried 3 kinds of sliding that exist; the anaconda slide, big jump slide, and the normal slide. I was enjoying through the anaconda slide and normal slide, but I was so scary when it turns into the big jump slide. It was triggered the adrenaline, it feels like you're going to be flipping and flying. Due the time, I didn’t have chance to try in sliding tube

  • The last is Mini Amazon, as the name. It is a mini river with green color, The water is flow so fast. However, you still can enjoy the scenery with your floaties. You'll also pass through 2 tunnels.

As the closing statement, I will give my honest review about Jambooland Waterpark. Honestly the ticket price is accordance with the facilities, but I felt disappointed with the rule that required a swimsuit. In reality, there are many people in the pool who wear T-shirts. Also, this rule is not listed on their social media or website. And for the toilet. It just provides rinse room. I'm a little confused about where the bathroom is. For its cleanliness is very well maintained except for the equipment in the garden, such as swings and so on, it looks a little worn and rusty, and also not a few of the life vest that have been damaged.
